Evolutionary Arcade

Terms

Last updated October 2026.

By using Evolutionary Arcade you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

Anyone can play

Anyone can play the games here, no account needed. To make an account, publish a game, comment, or suggest a prompt, you need to be 13 or older.

Every game is MIT

When you publish a game, you make it public, and you license it under the MIT license. That's the rule of the game: every game here is MIT, with no other choice. You keep the copyright, and the game's LICENSE names you ("Copyright (c) [year] @[your handle]"). Anyone can play it, read its source, download it, fork it, blend it, or regen it, here or anywhere else, as long as they keep that notice. Forks and blends here always link back to where they came from.

A game imported from someone else's open-source project credits its original author and keeps the original license notice that came with it.

Prompts you suggest

A prompt you suggest on the Prompts page is public, with your handle on it. The arcade may build it into a game and publish that game under its own account. That game is MIT like every other, it quotes your prompt word for word, and it credits you by handle ("Prompted by @you"). By suggesting a prompt, you agree it can be used that way and shared under the game's MIT license. We don't promise to build any prompt, and we can decline one (with a short reason shown beside it) or hide it.

Only publish what's yours to share

Code, art, sound, fonts, or anything else you bundle from someone else keeps its own license, and it has to be yours to share: under a license that lets you publish it (keep that license file with it), or with the owner's permission. If you're not sure you can share something, leave it out.

Keep it decent

We can take things down

We can hide or remove any game, comment, or prompt, and ban accounts, when something breaks these terms or the law, or when we think it's needed to keep the arcade safe. You can report anything with the Report button.

Copyright and takedowns

If something here uses your work without permission, email hello@evolutionaryarcade.com with a link to the game or comment, what it copied, and how to reach you. We'll look into it and take down anything that shouldn't be here.

No guarantees

The arcade and its games are provided as they are. Games are made by the community and their AI tools, and we don't review them before they go up.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so on the site.
